Gig Guide - October 2017

Welcome to The RT Rock Show Gig Guide for October.

Winter is coming! Pretty much sums up the horrible Autumn weather that we're having at the moment. On the bright side though, the gigs are really starting to ramp up. It always seems to take a dip through the summer months what with festivals etc but it's looking like a great month ahead. There are way to many stand out gigs this month to highlight them all so here are just a handful of ones we like the look of.

First up is a double whammy of heaviness from the guys at Eradication. October the 4th sees Columbian death metallers roll into town first at Fuel Rock Club Cardiff and then on October the 6th in The Duke in Neath. Formed in 1997 in Columbia, the band are one of the top death metal bands in the South American scene. Lyrically focussing on social and political issues, the band are known for a great live show that feels like you're in the middle of a war zone. Currently on their third album 'When Chaos Reigns' and a UK tour, they're definitely worth checking out and a great band to bring to South Wales. Support at Fuel comes from Bristol death metallers Body Harvest, Swansea death metallers Sepulchre and South Wales based death metallers Cranial Seperation. Support at The Duke comes from Pembrokeshire's In Which It Burns and more.

October the 12th is a night for the fans of power metal. The Globe in Cardiff will play host to top UK power metallers DragonForce and Power Quest.   Needing no introduction, DragonForce are one of the biggest power metal bands the UK have produced. Currently touring in support of their seventh album 'Reaching Into Infinity' the band are no strangers to the live stage. On their third album now with current singer Marc Hudson, the band are sounding stronger than ever with the new music sounding tight and focussed. Always a fun band to watch who are able to shred away on stage while also having fun and not taking themselves too seriously, it's well worth going along.  Support comes from Power Quest. Currently
